Whitby Fire and Emergency Services (WFES) consists of 146 employees working in four Divisions, at five fire halls. Review each of the divisions.
Fire Suppression |
Fire Suppression is comprised of 128 personnel who respond to your emergency calls on a 24/7 basis. When not responding to calls, they spend much of their time delivering public education programs, engaging in daily training activities, and maintaining equipment. |
Risk Management and Education |
Risk Management and Education is comprised of seven personnel who are responsible for public education development and delivery as well as performing fire safety compliance inspections. |
Fire Training and Professional Development |
Fire Training and Professional Development consists of three personnel who are responsible for ensuring that our firefighters are on the leading edge of emergency-related knowledge and are equipped with the skills and abilities to provide the highest level of service to you and the community. |
