It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Town of Whitby website. I hope you will find it useful. It is our goal to keep you informed and up to date with the activities in the Town and all that we have to offer. Whether you're looking for an upcoming event in Whitby or the Village of Brooklin, economic development information for your new or expanding business, or view the reports for an upcoming Committee or Council meeting, you will find it online.

One of the priorities for Council is to comprehensively review and update the Town's Official Plan. It is the blueprint for the protection of our natural environment, for planning where and how our community will grow through 2031 and beyond. It is our goal to be a sustainable community that is built and supported by the entire infrastructure and will provide current and future residents with a high quality of life.

Your input is critical. I ask you to provide feedback and vision into the future of your Town through the Official Plan. Please provide feedback through the Official Plan comment form.

The announcements for the quarterly Mayor's Town Hall meetings will be posted on this website as well as the local newspaper. I invite you to attend and bring forward your comments on topics of importance within our community.
