Parks

The Town of Whitby has over 100 beautiful parks for you to explore with a variety of features, including sports fields, tennis courts, skateboard parks, trails, playgrounds, splash pads, beaches, picnic areas, off-leash dog parks and more.

Hours

Town parks are open during the following hours. We may adjust operation dates and times according to weather conditions.

Parks maintenance

The Town of Whitby Parks Section maintains approximately 840 acres of active parkland, including 125 parks and over 75 km of trails throughout the Town. Parks staff provide grass cutting, gardening, tree services and general park maintenance services.

General parks maintenance involves inspection, repairs and upgrades to furniture, sports and play equipment, fencing, walkways, signage, curbing and other structures for Town parks, splash pads, fieldhouses, washrooms, sports fields, playgrounds and tennis courts.
