Parks, Trails, and Outdoor Recreation FacilitiesThe Town’s parks, trails and many outdoor recreation facilities are open to enjoy. When visiting please do your part to keep these spaces clean - pick up after pets and use garbage cans, or take waste home with you. Today, September 30, marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Mayor Don Mitchell has issued the following statement to recognize the day:

Today, the Town of Whitby unveiled the first orange crosswalk to honour the many children lost, residential school survivors, and their families in advance of The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, tomorrow, September 30.
