Community Engagement Strategy

The Town of Whitby is developing its first-ever Community Engagement Strategy and Action Plan to improve the way residents, businesses and community groups can participate in the decisions that impact them most.

The Town has a longstanding history of community engagement, and the new strategy will focus on identifying, improving and creating new engagement opportunities that brings people together, facilitates information sharing and encourages two-way dialogue.

From November 12 to December 3, Lura Consulting conducted an online survey on behalf of the Town to help inform the new strategy. Survey data collected will provide valuable information to help develop the framework for when, how and why the Town engages with the community, including how feedback collected will be used.
