Last night, at a Special Council meeting, Whitby Town Council approved the Town’s 2024 Budget, wrapping up the 2024 budget process.
The approved budget will result in a 4.4 per cent Town budget increase or an estimated 1.5 per cent residential bill increase to support Town services. Premier Doug Ford made the comments on CKDO Radio
One week after the Town of Whitby launched a community advocacy campaign for a new hospital, I was pleased to hear Premier Doug Ford go on record saying “there’s going to be a Whitby hospital” during a Feb. 15 interview on CKDO Radio.
