Christmas in the Village

The holidays are right around the corner. You know what that means… Christmas in the Village is back and better than ever! Embrace the magic of small-town traditions with family and friends as we celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Brooklin on November 23, 2024. Check out the schedule at a glance to learn more about the 2024 Christmas in the Village event sites and activities.

Seasonal activities will be held throughout the day at various locations. Join us at the Brooklin Community Center and Library for cookie decorating, reindeer crafts, story time, hot chocolate, visit with Santa and family holiday photos. Take a ride on the Town Trolley, spot Olaf and Gnomes Scavenger Hunt in Grass Park, shop the Whitby Farmers' Christmas Market, enjoy a Pancake breakfast, BBQ lunch, join the Brooklin United Church Choir for carols, and much more. To end your day enjoy free skating at Luther Vipond Arena and stroll through Grass Park to enjoy the illuminations and lights.

Please note, regular gymnasium programming will continue at Brooklin Community Centre and Library.

Seasonal Crafts, Activities and Games

We have been advised by the elves at the North Pole that there will be Santa sightings throughout the day at various locations in Downtown Brooklin.

Whitby Farmers' Christmas Market

Find that perfect gift, pick up seasonal must-haves, and savour local favourites brought to you by the Whitby Farmers’ Market.

Free Town Trolley Ride

Hop aboard the Town Trolley for a joyful ride through Downtown Brooklin while singing along to your favorite holiday tunes!

Free Family Skate

Celebrate the start of the season with a free family skate.

Our Lead Sponsor Tim Horton’s will be on-site with hot chocolate, coffee and treats between 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Grass Park Fun

Join the Gnome Scavenger Hunt, meet Olaf, and enjoy photo ops while listening to holiday tunes. Carollers will be wandering through the park and downtown.

Holiday Lights

As evening falls, gather with friends and family at Grass Park to take in the beautiful holiday lights and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Lights will be on nightly from 5 p.m. until January 5, 2025.

Youth Skate Pong

Youth can take part in an old school Pong battle – with a twist. Enjoy a fun game of Skate-Pong at the Brooklin Community Centre and Library.

Pancake Breakfast

Start the day with a scrumptious pancake Breakfast organized by the Brooklin Optimist Club. Menu includes pancakes, sausage rounds, maple syrup, and more.
