General business licences apply to most businesses, including food premises, auctioneers, exhibitions, salvage yards, secondhand shops, pawnbrokers and adult entertainment owners and operators.

To apply for a general business licence, complete the application and submit it to the By-law Services Division. Application processing takes five to 10 business days.
