The Commemorative Tree and Bench Program is one way for you to commemorate or celebrate a cherished moment, event, person, or send an uplifting message.
Welcome to the Program!
An assortment of trees and benches throughout the Town are available for dedication. Anyone can apply to the program by following these steps:
1. Fill out an online application form below or print one out at home to submit in person (see details below).
2. Use our online mapping program to find a tree or bench location which you will input in your application.
3. Submit your application and if approved you will be sent payment options to complete your dedication.
Applications submitted by March 31 will have their dedications completed in the spring. Applications submitted by August 31 will have their dedications completed in the fall.

To dedicate a new bench in a priority location please complete the online application below and select a priority location using our online mapping application linked below.
* Priority locations are areas within the Town that Parks Planning has determined would benefit significantly from additional benches. Priority locations for the installation of new bench dedications will be predetermined seasonally by staff to ensure efficient delivery of the program. See map for available priority bench locations.

To dedicate a new bench in a non-priority location please complete the online application form linked below and let us know your requested location through the steps listed within the form.
**Non-priority locations are areas within the Town that Parks Planning has determined would not benefit significantly from additional benches. Non-priority locations are subject to approval and discretion of the Supervisor of Parks Development or delegate, to ensure the proposed locations are appropriate. The fees for non-priority locations reflect the full cost and additional staff time to coordinate and install the alternative locations.

To dedicate a new tree please complete the online application below and let us know your requested location through the steps listed within the form. Requested locations are subject to approval and discretion of the Supervisor of Parks Development or delegate, to ensure the proposed locations are appropriate. Requested locations must be either along a path or a trail.
Priority locations will not be available for 2025. New tree dedications will be offered for the same fee as existing tree dedications until priority locations are made available. |
