Make the most of your garden this spring and take advantage of three free gardening seminars being held as part of the 2020 Whitby in Bloom Speaker Series.

The seminars, being held on March 25, April 22 and May 27 at the Brooklin United Church, will feature experienced and master gardeners sharing their knowledge and expertise.

Residents are invited to take part in one or all of the following three seminars:

• March 25 – Martin Galloway presents “Gardening on the ‘Wilder’ Side”
  • Hear from wildlife photographer and greenhouse owner Martin Galloway about his personal experience gardening in the wild.

• April 22 – Conrad Richter presents “Amazing Herbs You May Not Know, but Should”
  • Learn more about some of the lesser-known herbs that can improve your health – such as anise-hyssop, lemon balm, garlic chives, lovage, and salad burnet.

• May 27 – Ben Cullen presents “Take Your Harvest to the Next Level”
  • Explore creative ideas and inspirations to make the most of your growing season. This presentation is geared towards gardeners who have experience with the basics of vegetable gardening and are looking to take their harvest to the next level.
