Thank you for your interest in serving as an Election Worker for the Whitby municipal election. Applications for Election Worker positions are now closed.
The Whitby municipal election will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022.
To support the election, nearly 300 people will be needed to support designated voting locations during the advance vote period between October 20 and 23 and on Election Day on October 24. Voting locations will be set up at local schools and community gathering places throughout the Town.
The important positions being hired are Vote Tabulator Operators, Deputy Returning Officers, Poll Clerks, Revision Clerks, and Greeters. The Town is looking for residents with previous election experience, intermediate to advanced computer skills, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. The hours of work for each day will be 9:00 am to approximately 9:00 pm. Election Workers will receive compensation of $350 for each day that they work during the election and will be required to attend a two hour Municipal Election Official training session in late September/ early October. Compensation for the training session is included in the daily rate noted above.
