The Brooklin North Major Roads Environmental Assessment study provides guidance to the development and design of the main collector and arterial roads required to support the future development and growth of the Brooklin community over the next twenty to thirty years.
This environmental assessment study is being completed as the next steps in the planning process to support the:
- Brooklin Transportation Master Plan
- Brooklin Study
Purpose of study
The purpose of the Brooklin North Major Roads Environmental Assessment study is to determine:
- Where roads should be located
- What roads and intersections should look like
- How we can lessen the impacts of the roads on the community
Goals and objectives
The goals and objectives to be achieved by the Brooklin North Major Roads Environmental Assessment study are to:
- Confirm the need for the roads in the special study areas identified in the TMP
- Develop alternative designs to be evaluated
- Compare and select preferred designs for the roads
- Identify any impacts and mitigation measure required
Environmental Study Reports (ESR)
Following consultation with the public, major stakeholders, property owners, Indigenous Communities, and other agencies, the proponent has recommended designs for these roads that balance the impacts on the natural, cultural, and socio-economic environments, while providing efficient connections to future development.
