The Town of Whitby has initiated a Provincial Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to determine alternate routes for the provincial traffic currently going through the Downtown Brooklin area via Highway 7/12 (a two-lane urban highway).
The Study will evaluate alternative corridors and recommend a preferred plan to address both the local and provincial traffic needs of the study area, including how to accommodate provincial truck traffic and motorists not destined for Downtown Brooklin.
A Final Study Design Report has been completed which describes the study background, approach, process, alternatives being considered and the public consultation program. Please contact us for an accessible version.
