Site to accept yard waste, garbage, and organics
On Monday, November 6, a new temporary waste drop-off location will open at 9 a.m. at 5015 Baldwin Street South. The site is accessible from Baldwin Street just north of the Groveside Cemetery. The new location replaces the temporary McKinney Centre waste drop-off site, which will close on Sunday, November 12.
The Baldwin Street location will accept yard waste (leaves, branches, pumpkins, etc.), garbage, and organics as part of the Town’s efforts to expand its service delivery to support residents as the CUPE Local 53 strike continues. Due to its size, the Iroquois Park Sports Centre location will not accept yard waste.

Curbside yard waste collection is now underway. Residents are asked to place their yard waste on their curb for pick-up.
Curbside yard waste collection will be a gradual process that may take weeks to complete. Missed this collection? The Town will return to each area for an additional collection. The Town thanks residents for their patience and understanding.
Residents can stay up-to-date on when and where yard waste collection will take place by downloading the Whitby Waste Buddy app from Google Play or the App Store. Updates will also be shared through the Town’s social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
