360insights understands the importance of supporting both local and global communities.
If you’re familiar with Whitby, you may remember when the R.A. Sennet Public School closed in 2010 after close to a century of operating in the town. Nearly one decade later, the historic space at 300 King Street in Downtown Whitby became home to one of Canada’s fastest-growing tech companies: 360insights.
Founded in 2008, 360insights has become a world leader in Channel Incentives Management (CIM). This means that the company is responsible for managing appliance rebate systems and brand recognition programs to collect customer data through their platforms. The more information that flows through their platforms, the more analytics they can provide to their global clients to help build custom incentive plans.
Whitby is the ideal place to conduct business because of the opportunities for connection and involvement within the community. 360insights offers co-op positions for local high school students and hires many graduates from Durham’s three post-secondary institutions. In the past 14 years, 360insights has expanded globally, opening offices in cities across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Jason Atkins, Founder and CEO of 360insights, attributes much of the company’s success to their time in Whitby:
I think it's been my time at 360insights that has opened my eyes to seeing how much is done by the Town [and] the Chamber... all the efforts that are made. There's just been such an intentional effort behind creating this great experience for the residents and enabling businesses like 360 to thrive.
Jason Atkins, Founder and CEO, 2022
As the company continue to grow, 360insights is committed to making a difference in the lives of their employees, clients and communities across the world. 360insights differentiates themselves by tying their work to their core humanitarian values. Atkins envisions a better global community and ensures that 360insights actively works to make the vision a reality. An example is 360insights’ office in Haiti, which provides over 100 individuals with an opportunity to work and earn a competitive salary.
Jason has continuously made an effort to support the local economy and help Whitby realize its growth potential. In 2019, 360insights and the Town of Whitby launched 1855 Whitby; a technology accelerator for high-potential companies. The vision and leadership of Atkins and the 360insights team have allowed Whitby to transform into a key player in the GTA and Canadian technology ecosystems. The innovative team will continue to positively impact the local and global communities they serve.
