The Town of Whitby is proud to once again participate in Local Government Week, being celebrated province-wide this October 19 to 23.

This year during Local Government Week, Whitby’s residents are encouraged to get to know some of the people who work at the Town and learn why they love delivering programs and services to you, the community.

Your municipal government provides many of the programs and services you rely on each day. That’s why it’s so important to get involved and take an active role in shaping the future of your community. A great way to do that is through registering for and participating in Connect Whitby– the Town’s new digital engagement platform.

You can also stay informed by:

• subscribing to eNews Alerts – the Town’s email notification system

• becoming a Committee or Board member
• viewing the “What is Government” infographic
• completing the Town Search online or
