Brock Street Bridge Replacement and Highway 401 Improvements

Work will continue on this multi-year construction project. The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has advised two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Brock Street during peak periods throughout the majority of the project and the road will remain open to traffic.

Temporary lane reductions will be required on Brock Street, Highway 401, and the interchange ramps during off peak periods, including weekday and weekend nights.

In addition to the work on Highway 401 and Brock Street, there is also work currently taking place on local residential streets (i.e., Byron Street, Miller Street and Centre Street) associated with construction of the new Highway 401 westbound on-ramp.

Residents adjacent to the construction work are advised that higher than normal noise levels are anticipated during the scheduled works. Standard noise mitigation measures pertaining to equipment maintenance and operation will be implemented as part of the contract.
