Door Open has gone digital. Starting Friday, October 23 through November the Town of Whitby will take you behind the scenes at four local historically significant buildings. This year, in light of the pandemic, the tours will take place online. Learn about the people and places that helped shape Whitby’s history and explore some of the Town’s most iconic buildings – from the comfort of your home.
Visit Lynde House Museum - a house built in the early eighteen-hundreds for Jabez Lynde, an early Whitby pioneer.

Lynde House became instrumental as an Inn, Tavern and supply depot during the war of 1812. Today, it operates as a museum - featuring original hand-crafted design features. The site is also home to the Warren General Store – a local gem that carries the works of local artists, artisans and authors.
