More than 100 vehicles join in motorcade to thank Whitby healthcare providers

Despite the rain, more than 110 vehicles joined in today’s motorcade event to show support for healthcare providers working at the Lakeridge Health Whitby site and Ontario Shores.

The motorcade began at the Abilities Centre, before travelling south on Gordon Street looping around the Lakeridge Health Whitby site and Ontario Shores facilities. Whitby Town Council Members were joined by residents and community partners displaying signs of thanks in their windows and sounding horns during the processsion.

Local first responders – including Whitby Fire and Emergency Services, Durham Region Police Service and Region of Durham Paramedic Services – also participated in the event.
