The Town of Whitby invites residents to participate in an upcoming virtual Community Open House (COH) being held on connectwhitby.ca between March 22 and April 12. Its purpose: to gather community feedback on the proposed playground design for the new Lynde Creek Park. The District Park will be located in West Whitby on the east side of Coronation Road, north of Rossland Road.

Attendees will be able to view the proposed conceptual park design and complete a survey to share their feedback on the playground design.

Planned features of the park include:

• Soccer field
• Multi-skills court for ball hockey/basketball
• Playground
• Splash pad
• Walking trail
• Native plantings to support pollinator species
