Residents invited to visit connectwhitby.ca to participate in a virtual community open house from December 3 to January 7

As Downtown Whitby grows, the Town of Whitby is reviewing and updating its Downtown Whitby Secondary Plan. This updated plan will guide sustainable land use and development in Downtown Whitby to ensure the area is able to meet the needs of the community today and in the future.

From now until January 7, residents and community stakeholders can help inform the Downtown Whitby Secondary Plan update during a virtual community open house. Participants can share their ideas and comments about future growth and land use in the downtown area online on Whitby's Downtown Secondary Plan page.

Feedback gathered during the online community open house will help inform the development of the Secondary Plan and identify the opportunities and challenges facing Downtown Whitby.

The Downtown Whitby Secondary Plan Update Study Area is bound by the Canadian Pacific Railway Line to the north, Garden Street to the east, the Ontario Highway 401 to the south, and Cochrane and Annes Street to the west.
