The Town of Whitby invites residents to participate in an upcoming virtual Community Open House (COH) being held on connectwhitby.ca between October 13 and October 27. Its purpose: to gather community feedback on the proposed design for a new district park to be built in West Whitby at the northeast corner of Des Newman Boulevard and Whitefish Street.

Features included in the proposed park design include:

• a lighted combination rugby/soccer field;
• pickleball courts;
• a multi-skills court;
• a playground;
• a splash pad;
• a walking trail; and,
• native plantings to support pollinator species.

Here’s how and when residents can participate in the virtual COH:
