On Monday, May 30, 2022, the Town of Whitby will hold a public meeting to consider a draft proposed amendment to the Whitby Official Plan (File: OPA-2020-W/03) to update the existing Downtown Whitby Secondary Plan, and introduce detailed policies, and various land use designations to guide the future development of the Downtown Whitby Secondary Plan Area.
The land to which the amendment would apply is generally bordered by the Canadian Pacific Rail line to the north, Garden Street to the east, Highway 401 to the south and Cochrane Street to the west (see map below).
When: Monday, May 30, 2022, at 7 p.m.
Where: Hybrid meeting hosted online at whitby.ca/livestream and in-person (by request to clerk@whitby.ca)
A copy of the agenda and staff report will be available on the Town’s website at whitby.ca/civicweb the week prior to the above meeting date.
Members of the public may be permitted to attend and speak at the meeting in-person by request by emailing clerk@whitby.ca or virtually. The meeting can also be viewed live online at whitby.ca/livestream.
