The Region of Durham is continuing work on its 1635 Dundas project, collaborating with the Town of Whitby to help address resident concerns.
As a next step, on Monday, November 27, during the Regular Council Meeting, Town Council will consider the revised and final agreement between the Town and the Region regarding the Region’s 1635 Dundas project. Should the agreement be approved, it will then be considered at the Wednesday, November 29 Regional Council meeting. The agreement is available to view under section 16 of the Regular Council Meeting.
The purpose of the agreement is to create a framework for how the Region will operate 1635 Dundas. The agreement was refined in consideration of community concerns identified at numerous meetings and engagement sessions held over the past two months and was most recently updated based on feedback received at the October 30 Whitby Special Council Meeting.
