The team at Quantic Croven is celebrating an impressive 70-years of successful operation. Founded in 1954 as W. Gary-Wright Electronics of Canada, the Whitby-based advanced manufacturing company supports mission-critical defense and space programs with cutting-edge frequency control and timing products.

Specifically, the company assembles quartz crystal resonators for radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Quantic Croven’s precision quartz crystal resonators are world-renowned for ultra-low phase noise, exceptional reliability in high-shock and vibration environments, minimal long-term aging, reduced g-sensitivity, and outstanding frequency-temperature stability.

Notably, Quantic Croven supplied NASA JPL with quartz crystal resonators that were key components within the Mars 2020: Perseverance landing radar system, one of many space applications the company has supported. Their facility on Beech Street, which has expanded over the years to its current 25,000 square feet, serves as a hub of innovation and excellence in quartz crystal resonator technology.
