Today (November 18), Mayor Roy will present Whitby’s proposed 2025 to 2027 Strong Mayor’s Budget to Town Council. This budget proposes changes to the Town’s Draft 2025 Budget (prepared by Staff) released earlier this month.

As a next step in the budget engagement process, a reminder that residents can attend a Budget Public Meeting being held tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19. Here are the details:

Budget Public Meeting

• When: Tuesday, November 19, 2024, 7 p.m.
• Where: Attend the meeting in-person at Whitby Council Chambers or tune in online at whitby.ca/CouncilCalendar
• What: Residents interested in speaking at the Budget Public Meeting tomorrow (November 19) virtually or in-person are required to register with the Town Clerk by 8 a.m. tomorrow, the day of the meeting. Delegation Forms are available online at whitby.ca/delegation.

  On Thursday, November 28, Council will consider the feedback provided and possibly amend the Strong Mayor’s Budget.  If there are no amendments from Members of Council, the budget will be considered adopted.
