On Saturday, December 5, beginning at 10 a.m., the Town of Whitby, Whitby Fire and Emergency Services and JCI Durham will be touring a special guest through Whitby landmarks and neighbourhoods!
Santa Claus will be taking an early tour of Whitby this holiday season. If you spot him post his location tagging @townofwhitby on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #spotsantawhitby so neighbours can be on the lookout. Hint: he won’t be riding in his usual sleigh but will be in something big and red. Can you guess what it is? Please remember to follow physical distancing guidelines and avoid gatherings if you see Santa.
In addition to spotting Santa, we have received word from the North Pole that his elves are encouraging residents to participate in Whitby’s Community Lights competition open now through Wednesday, December 16. Starting Friday, November 27, you can also check out close to 100,000 magical lights illuminating Celebration Square, Grass Park and Whitby Civic Park as Whitby Lights the Night.
