The Region of Durham is continuing work on its 1635 Dundas project, collaborating with the Town of Whitby to help address resident concerns.
As a next step, on Monday, October 30, the Town of Whitby will host a Virtual Special Council Meeting to consider the agreement between the Town and the Region regarding the Region’s 1635 Dundas project. The meeting is taking place in a virtual format due to the ongoing CUPE Local 53 strike.
The purpose of the agreement is to create a framework for how the Region will operate 1635 Dundas. The agreement was refined in consideration of community concerns identified at numerous meetings and engagement sessions held over the past two months and was most recently updated based on feedback received at the October 25 Regional Council Meeting. View the updated version of the agreement that will be considered by Whitby Town Council on October 30.
