The Town of Whitby is committed to supporting local organizations in their response to the COVID-19 public health crisis. Since March, the Town has awarded more than $50,000 in funding to groups delivering vital services and programming to the community’s most vulnerable.
The funding is provided through the Mayor’s Community Development Fund (MCDF), which offers financial assistance to local community groups, events and initiatives that help contribute to Whitby as a vibrant and caring community.

Previous fund recipients announced in April include the Whitby Caremongers, Community Care Durham, Feed the Need, Lakeridge Community Support Services, Luke’s Place and the Salvation Army.
Is your local organization working hard to help the Whitby community during the COVID-19 public health crisis? Submit your application today to be considered for a community grant of up to $5,000. Applications submitted by Sunday, May 31 will be reviewed in June.
