A permanent cricket field is now open at Jeffery Park (220 Jeffery Street)! It features an artificial turf pitch and fresh line markings for the community and cricket leagues to enjoy.

The popularity of cricket has been growing in Whitby in recent years. The new cricket field was created in response to requests from several community groups during the Parks and Recreation Master Plan engagement for more spaces to play.

A second cricket field is available to play on at Brooklin Memorial Park.

• India has the largest cricket fanbase in the world, with millions of followers.
• Whitby Cricket Association and Durham Champions Cricket Club operate in Whitby.
• There are options for kids to play with both clubs.
