From Tuesday, October 13 to Tuesday, October 27 the Town will begin to gather community feedback on the proposed design for a new district park to be built in West Whitby at the northeast corner of Des Newman Boulevard and Whitefish Street.

Due to COVID-19 - and to make participating easier for residents - the open house is being conducted virtually over a two week period. Visit connectwhitby.ca/westwhitbypark to participate.

Proposed park design features include:

• a lighted combination rugby/soccer field;
• pickleball courts;
• a multi-skills court;
• a playground and sand play area;
• a splash pad;
• a shade shelter;
• a fitness area;
• a walking trail;
• a parking lot;
• portable toilets within a covered shelter; and,
• native plantings to support pollinator species.

The Open House is being held on the Town’s new digital engagement platform - Connect Whitby. Visitors will need to register for the site in order to comment on this and other Town projects.
