Today, Monday, June 15, the Ontario government announced that municipalities within the Durham Region Public Health Unit – including the Town of Whitby – can move into Stage 2 to re-open our economy effective as of Friday, June 19, at 12:01 a.m.

The Town is currently reviewing what this next stage means for the municipality, as well as the time needed to safely implement any facility or amenity reopenings.

The Town thanks residents and businesses for their patience and will provide further information about the resumption of services as soon as possible.

Residents are reminded to continue to practice safe physical distancing when interacting with individuals outside of their household or social circle.
