Youth artists in Whitby have the chance to show off their artistic talents in this year’s Art Attack event on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
The annual Art Attack event is held by the Town of Whitby, in partnership with Station Gallery, to celebrate and showcase the creativity of local young artists ages 12 to 18.
Interested youth can apply online by Tuesday, April 7 at whitby.ca/youthevents and submit their art pieces to the Brooklin Community Centre and Library. This year’s artwork submission categories include drawing and painting, sculpture, video and film, photography, and fashion and jewellery, graffiti and spoken word.
In addition to being showcased at the Art Attack event, the Town and Station Gallery the pieces will continue to be exhibited at Station Gallery from May 3 through to May 10. Art Attack takes place on May 7 during National Youth Week, which runs May 1 to 7.
Art Attack is presented by the Whitby Youth Council and is part of the Town’s continued commitment as a Platinum Level Youth Friendly Community.
